I hope you had a Happy Holiday!
NOTE 1: Important; when headcount is required for many of the meetings at Northwood Country Club we need an actual count. It seems in the past that some folks have said they would attend and then didn’t show. As it turns out the money for these meals were paid for by a retiree. This is not right and the Club can’t afford to do this. So PLEASE when you are called by your calling committee caller and you say yes, and you don’t show up, we will bill you for the amount of your meal. Thanks!
NOTE 2: Your new officers for 2012 are as follows: President – no VP; to be determined at next meeting. Secretary/Treasurer – Carolyn Goodrich; Calling Committee Chairman – Carl Bates; Sunshine Chairman – Sally Leach.

01 February – Red Lobster. Lunch will be at 12:30. The address for the Red Lobster is 2055 Pleasant Hill, Duluth. We will order lunch from the menu. Approximate cost $12.00 - $15.00 plus tax & gratuity. Facilitator: Sally Leach. Any questions please call Sally 770-476-7201. Headcount needed by January 25. Please wear your badge!
07 March – Brunch, Egg Harbor Cafe. Those planning to attend will meet at the restaurant at 10:45. Address is 10270 Medlock Bridge Road, Johns Creek. Cost about $12.00 - $14.00. 04 April – Ippolito’s Restaurant – Lunch. Those planning to attend, please meet at 12:45. The address for the restaurant is 5277 Peachtree Parkway, Norcross. Cost for lunch is $12.00 - $15.00. 09 May – Baseball Game. Late lunch @ Mimi’s Café at 4:00pm and the game starts at 7:05. Any questions call Pat Curtis at 770-476-0577 for the Mimi’s Cafe. Cost $10.00 - $12.00. Game time 7:05 pm at the new Coolray stadium, address 1 Braves Avenue. Lawrenceville. Facilitator: Ralph Ehrich. Tickets $8.00 each. Order tickets from Ralph at February, March, or April meeting or send check to Ralph at 1014 Parkview Way SW Lilburn, GA 30047.
06 June – Sydney Buffet – Lunch. Lunch will be at 11:30. The address for the restaurant is P-Hill Road behind Red Lobster. If you have any questions please call Charlie Soo at 770-535-9181. Head count no later than May 30. Please wear your badge.
11 July (2nd Wednesday) – Lunch at Northwood CC. Congregate at 11:15. Lunch at 12:00pm. Any questions please call Marty Rafter at 770-925-7292. Head count no later than Please wear your badge.

03 October – Eckles House – Barbecue lunch. The 7th annual backyard cookout will be held at the Eckles’ Home on Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Congregate at 11:15. Lunch at 12:00. There will water and coffee, maybe soda pop served. The cost for lunch is $12.50 per person. Directions – From GA 400 Southbound – Exit GA 400 at exit 13 (Peachtree Pkwy – GA 141). Turn right onto Peachtree Pkwy and go north 2.5 miles. (Note: Peachtree Pkwy changes name to Bethelview Road after crossing Hwy 9). Turn left into the entrance to Polo Golf & Country Club onto Polo Fields Parkway. Proceed to dead end and turn left onto Polo Drive. Follow Polo Drive to Chukker Court (1.3 miles). Turn right onto Chukker Court and go to the first driveway on the left. From GA 400 Northbound – Exit GA 400 at exit 12B (McFarland Road). Turn right onto McFarland Road and go north to Atlanta Hwy (GA9). Turn right onto Atlanta Hwy and go to Post Road (GA 371). Turn left on Post Road and go to Polo Drive (2.1 miles). Turn right into the entrance to Polo Golf & Country Club onto Polo Drive. Go to the second street on the left – Chukker Court. Turn left onto Chukker Court and go to first driveway on the left.
